Check indie rock pioneers of Montreal nearly destroy The Metro, one of Chicago’s best live music venues. It was a little frightening, & it was awesome. It was a spiritual event. We haven’t spoken of this night since it happened - for reasons obvious only to the production crew - but you should enjoy the proof that it did actually happen.

Violinist-vocalist Kishi Bashi recently dropped a live session of “Atticus, in the Desert,” a fascinating cut off his debut, 151a.
That looped sample for percussion, the occasional pizzicato bar, the artistry with which Bashi moves his bow- it’s just extraordinary.
